Gunsite Instructor, Dean Caputo, was good enough to share this ROBAR flyer circa about 1994. Though a little tough to read, the flyer includes the specs firearms owners require, and were the solid fundamentals ROBAR has built its reputation on. Of course, now the information is contained on our website, and the pictures of guns and finishes are the best jpg quality. But it’s still all about excellence and exceeding your expectations. Enjoy the retrospective! ...

The story begins in the 5th century BC. and in the heart of ancient Persia, now known as Iran. By 545 BC King Cyrus, who had initially led a revolt against the Medes, “had extended the Persian hegemony to the coast of Asia minor.” The young Persian empire was dangerous and brutal, with reports of barbaric killing and utter tyranny: the empire represented the old ways of magi and kings who treated subjects as slaves. Main Stream Media (MSM) and anti-gun legislators toss around the term “Assault Rifle” at will, though most would be hard-pressed to give an exact description of this firearm. Every responsible gun owner in America (somewhere around 40% of US households with an estimated 270 million guns) should be equipped to defend the Second Amendment and to de-bunk the myths surrounding semi-auto rifles. Our founders understood the importance firearm ownership played in...

To fully appreciate the M1911 pistol, a span of history must be traced back to the mid to late 1800′s. Before the 1911, the military hand gun of choice, also known as “the Gun that Won the West,” was the Colt Revolver. Samuel Colt, during a stint as a ship crew member, observed the turning spokes of the ship’s wheel, which sparked an idea for a revolver. Though Colt died in 1862, his wife took over the company and, after a patent conflict with...
