The performance of the high-quality scope for 7.62×39 bolt action does not disappoint either. I love the fact that UTG utilized a large objective lens to make aiming and shooting a lot easier, even when the sun is already on the horizon. A unique lens coating adds to the remarkable light transmission through the tube. The dual reticle illumination also helps.

Looking through the eyepiece of the top rated scope is like being in the shoes of a Spec Ops sniper. This is not your ordinary crosshair that you see in traditional scopes. I find the stylish Mil-dot reticle to be very useful in more precise aiming.

The design of the best scope for CZ 527 7.62×39 of the turret is ingenious. It is a lot easier to lock and reset than most of the scopes that I have tried. The adjustments for both elevation and windage are precise, consistent, and crisp. Like I said, this is a scope that pros would use.

The BugBuster has a maximum magnification of 9x. Unfortunately, some people said that they couldn’t get it to hold at zero. This is for shots taken from a distance of at least 50 yards.

Pros
  • Large objective lens for more precise aiming in low light conditions
  • Turret is very easy to adjust
  • Advanced reticle type for more accurate shot placement
  • Strong and reliable construction
  • Versatile use
Cons
  • Had issues getting it to stay at zero

Despite having issues with getting the scope to hold zero, I would still bring the BugBuster wherever my adventurous spirit takes me. Its thoughtful construction, weatherproofing, and accurate tracking and aiming are enough for you to consider it in your rifle, too. It is one of the finest scopes for 7.62×39 that you can buy.

Fixed 3x magnification with 7.62\300BO ACSS CQB reticle for fast target acquisition in close quarters or medium range
Fully illuminated reticle with 11 brightness settings powered by a common CR203...

One of the strongest points going for the SLX 7.62×39 optic is its reticle. It requires patience to learn the different markings on the reticle as each one has its purpose. Once you have become familiar with the CQB reticle, you will never want to get another scope again. This is how I felt the first time I looked through the viewfinder of the SLX. It makes for precision aiming that is almost similar to that of a red dot system. It is also easy to adjust the brightness level of the reticle.

Accuracy of shots is a certainty. Its fixed magnification may look a downer at first. However, the size and quality of its objective lens make for a very fun shooting experience. There are caps that flip to cover the opposing ends of the scope. It augments the ingress protection of the SLX.

Perhaps the only bummer to the SLX is its heft. Some people may not have issues with the weight. However, I find it to be heavy for its size.

Pros
  • Multi-functional and versatile reticle
  • Easy to use, especially in zeroing
  • Good for medium-range shooting, better for close quarters
  • Durable and weatherproof construction
  • Fast target acquisition
Cons
  • A bit heavy

I really do not mind the heft of the SLX nor its fixed magnification. Its premium-quality construction, advanced sighting and tracking capabilities, unparalleled ingress protection, and versatility far outweigh any concerns in weight. Nevertheless, it is one of the very nice scopes to have on the market.

Trijicon ACOG 3×30 Scope

Trijicon TA33-C-400126 ACOG 3x30mm Compact Dual Illuminatedx 40mm, Green Horseshoe/Dot 7.62x39/123gr Ball Reticle with Colt Knob Thumbscrew Mount amazon.com Check price

Magnification: 3x
Objective size: 30mm
Illumination source: fiber optics and tritium

What I find very interesting about the ACOG 3×30 is its eye relief. Trijocon says that it has an eye relief of about 2 inches. I compared it to a 4×32 scope and the relief from this Trijocon creation is 4 inches better. I got to shoot several rounds with both of my eyes open at 6 inches from the edge of the scope. The view was superb. There was never a black ring that obscured my view of the target.

The optics is what you’d expect from Trijocon AK47 scope. The first time they made an ACOG was in 1987. It is clear that the company has perfected the art of making an indestructible and clear glass. The horseshoe reticle is perfect for quick target acquisition. The AK series scope is also crisp and smooth, which further improves shooting accuracy.

While there are no significant downsides to the quality rifle scope, I do find its size to be somewhat bigger compared to the other models of ACOGs that have the same magnification. It does tend to dwarf your modified AR.

Pros
  • Crisp and smooth reticle for shot precision
  • Tough and ultra-clear glass for better aiming
  • Bright and clear field of view
  • Large objective lens
  • Extra-long eye relief
Cons
  • Bigger than other ACOG with 3x magnification

Trijocon has been making the ACOG system for more than 3 decades now. And while this version is bigger than others of the same system, the issue is insignificant when you consider the things that it can offer to a modern shooter. You might want to check it out whether or not you are buying a 7.62×39 BDC reticle scope for its amazing features.

The thing that I like most at the AK25 scope is its remarkable zeroing capabilities. I have tried other red dot sights in my modified AK47 and M4. The red dot in these scopes went way off the zero mark after only a few rounds. The AK25 was able to hold the zero position even after a few weeks of use.

And if you are the type of shooter who loves to play in the water, you will be amazed at the ingress protection of the coolest AK25. Expect the internal components to stay dry with the scope’s O-rings. The Ak25 never reneged on the philosophy of Bushnell when it comes to its super-tough construction. The company also uses nitrogen to purge the scope of any element that can produce fogging. What you get is a very clear view of the target.

Speaking of target acquisition, you cannot get any quicker than the AK25. The red dot sight system comes with enough brightness settings that are easy enough to adjust. You will never miss a target, whether stationary or moving. It is one of the things to look for whether or not finding a 7.62×39 BDC scope.

Unfortunately, the red dot of the great rifle scope tends to become misshappened at times. This happens if you fail to adjust the brightness settings relative to the ambient light. If you get it right, though, the view is as clear as the bright sky.

Pros
  • Stays zeroed-in even when mounted to powerful rifles
  • Multiple brightness settings
  • Very easy to mount
  • Lightweight and durable construction
  • Protection against fog, shock, dust, and water
Cons
  • Red dot tends to be misshapen or blurry in certain conditions

The best scope for AR-15 7.62×39 is perfect for those who want a device for their 7.62×39 rifle that can give them rapid target acquisition and exceptional tracking. And since it is from Bushnell, you can bet that everything about the product is top notch. Nevertheless, you might want to check it out if looking for high quality scopes.

The Strike Eagle 1-6x24 is defined by speed and versatility. Adjust to six power when you need to engage targets at a distance
High quality, fully multi-coated lenses deliver a clear, crisp sight p...

Vortex Optics utilized the BDC reticle type for the Strike Eagle. The best scope for SKS 7.62×39 comes with a number of illumination settings to help you make the necessary adjustments. I find this very useful in almost any shooting scenario. I can always dial in the lowest setting when the sun is above my head. At dusk, I can rely on the brightest settings. In other words, you will always get a clear view of your target.

Part of the Strike Eagle’s optical performance is its fully and multi-coated lenses. It can make for target acquisition and tracking a lot easier to accomplish. The image through the viewfinder is clear and crisp.

There is no mistaking the best scope for AKM for its rugged construction, either. Water, fog, and shock have no place in the scope’s structure. This is a riflescope you will want to mount on your rugged AK or AR.

One thing I don’t like about the Strike Eagle is its unforgiving eye relief for bolt-action hunting rifles. I had to draw my eyes a lot closer to the edge of the scope than most other riflescopes I have tried.

Pros
  • Multi-coated lens for clearer views
  • Optimal reticle illumination
  • Easy to adjust turret
  • Versatile application
  • All-weather construction
Cons
  • Unforgiving eye relief

Despite having a questionable eye relief, the Strike Eagle 7.62×39 scope remains a good choice. It is versatile and comes with a good sighting system that can leave other scope brands in the dust. You might want to take a look at it if looking for scopes for AKM-styled rifles.

Nikon ProStaff 2-7×32 Black Matte Riflescope

Nikon ProStaff 2-7 x 32 Black Matte Riflescope (Nikoplex)
Nikon ProStaff 2-7 x 32 Black Matte Riflescope (Nikoplex) amazon.com Check price

Compact riflescope with 2 to 7x magnification and 32mm objective lens
Fully multicoated optical system transmits up to 98 percent of available light
Zero-reset turret with spring-loaded adjustment ...

What I love most at the ProStaff is its Nikoplex reticle. The best 7.62×39 AR scope offers a very clear and uncluttered field of view. I love the fact that I get to see the “whole” view as there are no markings to obscure the sight. The crosshair in the middle is smooth and crisp, too. It makes for more precise aiming.

The second best thing I like at the ProStaff is its exceptional eye relief. While Nikon was modest enough to put a 3.8-inch relief, I found the reality to be a lot better. The turret is very responsive, too. There is no need to reset it every time you head off to the shooting range. You can hear a click with each turn of the adjustment knobs.

The ingress protection of this 7.62×39 scope is also superb. An O-ring guards the nitrogen-purged housing of the 7.62×39 round scope. No fog will form and no amount of moisture or dust will ever penetrate the interior. You will get a scope that can take a beating regardless of terrain.

Nikon says the ProStaff stays zeroed, even with high recoil rifles. I tested the scope on a vintage SKS Simonov. After two discharges, the scope lost its zero. I guess the 7.62×39 rifle scope cannot handle the butt-kicking recoil of the Soviet-made, WWII-era carbine.

Pros
  • Clear and crisp field of view
  • Turret that is easy to manipulate
  • Excellent eye relief
  • Reliable, durable, all-weather construction
  • Versatile application
Cons
  • Did not hold zero with high recoil rifles

I believe the Nikon ProStaff 7.62×39 scope is one of the best for a 7.62×39 rifle. The high-quality optics, simple yet functional reticle, robust construction, and versatility make it so.

I like the CMR-AK’s versatility. This is a scope that is perfect for playing shooting games with friends where you get to aim and shoot in a very precise manner. It is also a respectable hunting rifle. I tried going for a deer from a distance of 100 yards and it was spot on. The CMR-AK is great for the man who wants more options in his shooting adventures.

The reticle of the CZ 527 scope offers pinpoint accuracy. Its green illumination is gentle on the eyes. The windage and elevation adjustment knobs on the turret elicit an unmistakable click for the SIG 556R scope. You will know you are in the right setting focusing only on those clicks. You can stay focused on the target down range. Aiding in the accuracy of the scope is the glass that comes with multiple coats. The field of view is clear.

A real downer about the CMR-AK SKS scope is its less-than-stellar eye relief. I guess this is as expected since the diameter of the objective lens is not commensurate to the length of the tube. It creates the classic ‘black ring’ whenever you pull your eyes further back.

Pros
  • Multi-coated lens for clearer views
  • Green-illuminated reticle for more precise aiming
  • Versatile application for hunting or tactical use
  • All-weather and durable construction
  • Responsive turret adjustments
Cons
  • Mediocre eye relief

The Hi-Lux Optics CMR Series 1-4×24 Riflescope is a good choice for those who own a 7.62×39 rifle. It offers both tactical and hunting functionalities in a robust and sleek construction. This is despite having a less-than-stellar eye relief of the scope for AR15 variants.

7.62×39 Scope or Red Dot

A high-quality 7.62×39 scope is great if you are aiming for accuracy of shots. Its main job is to improve your line of sight to the target, while also magnifying it. Many of these scopes have variable power magnification settings that are very easy to manipulate. This variability in magnification makes the scope more versatile. You can use it for both long-range and close-range shooting.

Most people today prefer the red dot system. This is because it is a lot easier to use, having a very simple interface. All you need is to position your rifle so that the red dot will be placed on the object you want to hit. This is ideal for situations where accurate tracking is a must. It is also great in rapid-fire, intense, and high-pressure scenarios. This is why the military, police, and other similar professions prefer this system over the scope. It allows them to aim at their targets faster.

What Makes a Great 7.62×39 Scope?

A great 7.62×39 scope should be able to improve the visibility of any given target. A scope with 1x magnification may be fine for short distances, such as in close quarter combat. If you’re into long-ranged shooting, then you should pick one that has a higher magnification.

A good 7.62×39 rifle scope should also have high-quality optics to make aiming and shooting more accurate. You would want clear and distortion-free optics in such cases. It will help if the scope will have advanced lens technology as it guarantees clearer images.

The eye relief of the scope should also be long. You do not want to suffer what many newbies experience as “scope-eye”. The reticle can be as simple as the classic “duplex” or as complicated as a “Christmas tree”. This depends on your skills. Pick one with responsive adjustment features, from parallax, to elevation, and windage. Of course, a good quality scope should have a reliable construction.

What Magnification Do You Need?

There are two popular uses of firearms that use the 7.62×39 cartridge. These are tactical and hunting. Your choice of the power of the scope’s magnification depends on whether you will use it for tactical purposes or for hunting activities.

Tactical rifles and small firearms equipped with a 7.62×29 scope do not require high magnification. A scope with 1x magnification is already enough. However, if you are going hunting, then you will need a scope with greater magnification.

The magnification of your 7.62×39 scope depends on what will you be hunting. It is easy to target a game within 100 yards. In most cases, hunting deer is possible within 50 yards. As such, a low magnification scope will be sufficient. However, if you will be hunting from a considerable distance, then you will have a much better chance of downing the game with a high magnification scope. A magnification of at least 16x is enough.

There are also targets that are very sensitive to sound or vibration coming from their surroundings. You will want a high magnification scope to reduce the risk of making your presence felt. Do keep in mind that scopes with higher magnification tend to cost more.

Factors to Consider when Buying a 7.62×39 Scope

There may be some people who may not agree with our list of the best scopes for 7.62×39 rifles. They may have other specifications in mind. If you’re one of them, allow us to help you narrow down your choices. From checking the quality of 7.62×39 optics to evaluating the other features of the scope, here are several factors that you can include in your consideration.

Magnification

As mentioned, the magnification will depend on your primary use of the rifle. Hunting rifles will require greater magnification. Tactical rifles, on the other hand, can perform well with a low magnification scope mounted to the rail.

Objective Lens

The diameter of the lens is proportional to the amount of light entering the scope. Here’s the thing. There are situations where you do not want too much light to enter. Likewise, there will be instances when you need more light to better see through the scope. An example of this will be hunting in low light conditions.

Quality of the Optics

Improvements in lens technology now give rifle scope manufacturers the ability to produce large-diameter lens without flooding the chamber with light. Lens coating not only increase shot accuracy. They can also help protect the integrity of the glass itself. Pick one with multiple layers of lens coating.

Reticle

If this is your first time buying a rifle scope, we suggest getting a German reticle, a target dot, or a Duplex crosshair. These are great for short-ranged shooting. If you are planning to go hunting for game from a considerable distance, then a scope with range-finding reticle or an SVD-type is a must. You will also need to consider the placement of the reticle. A reticle in the first focal plane is ideal for long-range shots. If the reticle is in the number 2 focal plane, you will see the target become larger when you zoom in. The size of the reticle stays the same.

Turret

A good scope should always have a couple of adjustment knobs, similar to what we have in a traditional microscope. We turn these knobs to fine-tune the image we are seeing through the glass. Some adjustment knobs are for compensating for the effects of certain environmental conditions. Examples of these are elevation and windage. More common adjustments are for distance to target.

Eye Relief

Choose a 7.62×39 rifle scope with a long eye relief of at least 6 inches if you are going to use it in a powerful rifle. This is especially the case for rifles with high recoil. If the eye relief is short, the recoil will imprint the back end of the scope in your face. A good eye relief to start with is 4 inches.

Construction

Pick a scope that is shockproof, fog-proof, and waterproof. Assess the scope’s body. Larger tubes allow for the inclusion of different components which can improve shot accuracy over great distances. The downside is that they will often be more expensive. Choose those with the highest possible ingress protection rating.

The 7.62×39 is a reliable cartridge for the world’s most reliable rifles. It goes without saying that it should pair well with a riflescope that you can also rely on. Your choice of riflescope should reflect your understanding of your personal shooting needs. Keep in mind that many of the factors for consideration depends on how you intend to use your rifle, whether it is for tactical purposes or for hunting game. As long as the scope is able to help you accomplish what you want to do with your 7.62×39 rifle, then it will always be a good buy. Try any one of the best 7.62×39 rifle scopes today.

Conclusion

Using the best 7.62×39 scopes, you will have a more rewarding shooting and hunting experience. They can improve your shooting accuracy because they can deliver clear sight picture. It eventually improves target acquisition, especially those with a high quality lens.

To get started in the selection process, you might want to refer to the buying guide we have discussed earlier. Nevertheless, all these scopes are high in quality and can offer precision and performance. They can work under many conditions and with different weathers. These scopes are high in quality that they can offer a shockproof performance. Buy the right scope today!
