Ah! It’s the most wonderful time of the year when our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving, family, Christmas and…the SHOT Show!

Anyone who’s anyone in the shooting industry knows about SHOT Show:

The SHOT Show is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries.

It is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. SHOT® attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. It is owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Jack Nischik, friend and shooting enthusiast comments:

Every firearm, ammunition, and outdoor gear vendor attends. It encompasses the entire Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas and spills over into the meeting rooms of the Venetian Casino and Resort.

If you’re looking for something remotely related to shooting or hunting and you are not working on classified military contracts, it’s probably at SHOT show.

Not only should you plan on attending SHOT Show, definitely plan on stopping by the ROBAR Guns booth and checking out the latest in firearms, firearms finishes, and firearms tools.

Here to wet your appetite for the world’s largest shooting, outdoor, and hunting trade show, ROBAR’s very own GM Freddie Blish, LtCol USMC (Ret).

Freddie starts the video with an SR21 show and tell. How awesome is this rifle?

I had opportunity to shoot the SR21 while visiting Robar in late October.

Freddie took me to the Ben Avery Shooting Range on a Tuesday (Robar has exclusive use of the bench range every Tuesday), with a couple beauties en tow: the ROBAR SR21 and the ROBAR PolymAR-15.

SR21withOptics2

Exact specs: SR21 .308 with a Leupold Optics Mark 6 3-18X with Horus H58 reticle and an Aimpoint Micro T-1 both in a Spuhr SP4007 Mount on the SR-21 rifle. That optic combination of Leupold Mark 6 3-18X with H58 and Aimpoint Micro T-1 is the new SOCOM ECOS-O system.

I’m a CHL holder in Oregon, trained and certified NRA Pistol, but haven’t shot rifles since fun times as a 10 year old with a .22.

Thankfully, Freddie is as patient as he is professional: I learned the basics of shooting this amazing sniper (precision) rifle and had a blast, both literally and figuratively.

And, as I said on Facebook, “I am living proof a gal can fall in love with a rifle!”

But don’t take my word for it. Get yourself to SHOT Show and check out the SR21 AND the new ROBAR PolymAR-15.

To hold these rifles is to love these rifles. Truth.
