Custom Glock™ Pistol work
The innovative Glock™ pistol revolutionized the handgun industry. Now available in a multitude of configurations and calibers, Glock™ offers something for almost everyone. Robar® truly brings the Glock™ closer to perfection by utilizing our unique process for reducing the grip size on Glock™ pistols to better match the size of the grip to the size of our client’s hands. No longer is the shooter with small hands or of smaller stature penalized by the standard Glock™ grip. Additionally, Robar® offers a complete suite of practical grip modifications, magazine extensions, beavertail fabrication, front cocking serrations, trigger work and complete refinishing for all Glock™ models.
Robar® has been perfecting Glocks for over 30 years. Robar® was the first company to offer grip reductions, which was done in 1987 for the Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona. In addition to reducing the grip, Robar® offers texturing for Glocks and other Polymer Framed handguns in light, medium, and heavy.
Grip Reduction (Includes 360-degree Texturing) $210.00
Robar’s® Backstrap Reduction is usually sufficient enough of a reduction for 85% of people. We remove the hollow palm swell on the back strap, fill the area, smooth it over and texture the back and sides in our texturing. The result is a straight grip angle and a smaller, more manageable grip size. If you shoot high with a conventional Glock™ grip you will be right on target after the reduction. Texturing the front strap does not reduce the size – if you want more reduction you can select our ‘Front strap Reduction’.
Finger Groove Removal (front strap reduction) $75.00
The Front strap Reduction is an adjunct to our Backstrap Reduction, but may also be ordered by itself when only a small amount of grip reduction is desired. We remove material from between the finger grooves, or remove the finger grooves entirely, and texture the resulting area in our grip texturing. For the maximum amount of grip reduction possible select both the Backstrap Reduction and the front strap Reduction, preferably without the finger grooves.
360 Degree Grip Texturing (Light, Medium or Heavy) $100.00
If you don’t require any grip reduction but would prefer a more aggressive texture, select our Grip Texture service. We texture the entire grip with our ‘Medium’, ‘Light’, or ‘Heavy’ grits to suit your personal requirements. Texture can also be selectively applied to specific areas of the grip as required. Typically we leave the Glock™ logo and part number panels intact but these too may be covered if so desired – just be sure to request that when ordering. Similarly, matching texture can also be applied to magazine base pads and magazine spacers.
Trigger Guard Undercut $35.00
We remove material from the bottom of the trigger guard at the point where it joins the front strap. This allows you to get your hand up slightly higher on the grip, lowering the bore of the pistol for reduced recoil while offering improved control.
Seamless Integral Beavertail (Small, Medium or Large) $220.00
For our customers, with larger hands who are suffering slide bite, we offer our Beavertail Fabrication package. A steel reinforced beavertail is expertly fabricated to the rear of the frame, shaped and smoothed to perfection and finished to look like it was there from the factory. The beavertail not only protects your hand from slide bite, but it also helps position your hand on the grip for a faster, smoother draw from your holster, particularly important for competition shooters. (Comes in short, medium and long.)
Grip Chop (Grip Reduction and Texturing not INcluded) $125.00
This option offers you the convenience of using both high capacity and subcompact magazines in your standard frame Glock™ pistol. We can combine a backstrap and front strap reduction with grip shortening and texturing to enable a Glock™ 17 frame, for example, to use Glock™ 19 magazines. 360 Degree texturing is required for the frame after the reduction. Now, you have a truly convertible system giving you the best of both worlds depending on your requirements. (Cannot use chopped part of grip for a magazine grip extender.)
Magazine Release Scallop (Gen 1-3 Only) $35.00
Texture Frame Flats $45.00
Round Trigger Guard $ 50.00
